Target Information

Mouse Gastrin is a peptide hormone primarily produced by G cells in the gastric antrum. It stimulates acid secretion by gastric parietal cells and promotes gastric motility and growth. Gastrin exists in several forms, including gastrin-17 and gastrin-34, which are cleaved from the preprogastrin precursor. This hormone acts through the CCK2 receptor, influencing both acid secretion and trophic effects on the gastric mucosa.
