Target Information
Mouse Asporin is a member of the small leucine-rich proteoglycan (SLRP) family, involved in the regulation of extracellular matrix organization and bone formation. It is expressed in various connective tissues, including cartilage and bone, where it interacts with collagen and other matrix components to modulate tissue structure and function. Asporin plays a role in regulating bone mineralization and is implicated in skeletal development and maintenance. Its expression is tightly regulated, and dysregulation may contribute to bone disorders. Asporin is an important target for studying skeletal biology and related diseases in mouse models.
