Phenylethanolamine A-BSA Antigen

Phenylethanolamine A is a synthetic beta-adrenergic receptor agonist belonging to the group of compounds colloquially known as "lean meat powders." It was illegally introduced into the livestock industry as a repartitioning agent to dramatically increase lean meat percentage, reduce fat deposition, and improve feed conversion rates in food-producing animals like pigs and cattle. Because it is highly stable and metabolizes slowly, harmful residues readily accumulate in animal tissues and internal organs (especially the liver and kidneys). Ingestion of contaminated meat or offal by humans can trigger acute toxic reactions, including severe tachycardia, palpitations, muscle tremors, dizziness, and dangerous blood pressure fluctuations, making it universally banned in food animal production.
