Mouse Bladder Cancer Cells-MB49-OVA
Product Overview
MB49 cells are an immortalized mouse bladder cancer cell line derived from C57BL/Icrf-a mouse bladder epithelial cells. These cells were transformed after a single 24-hour treatment with the chemical carcinogen 7,12-dimethylbenzanthracene (DMBA) during long-term primary culture. The transformed cells, when transplanted into syngeneic mice, were shown to produce carcinomas. Although derived from a male, karyotype analysis revealed a 100% loss of the Y chromosome in the cells analyzed. Mouse bladder cancer cells-MB49-OVA were obtained by lentiviral infection of MB49 cells, resulting in overexpression of OVA.
