Target Information

Rat P-Selectin is a cell adhesion molecule expressed on the surface of endothelial cells and platelets. It plays a crucial role in the initial stages of leukocyte rolling and adhesion during inflammation. P-Selectin mediates the interaction between leukocytes and endothelial cells, facilitating the recruitment of immune cells to sites of injury or infection. This selectin is rapidly upregulated in response to inflammatory stimuli and is essential for the proper functioning of the immune system. In rats, P-Selectin is involved in processes such as thrombosis and the regulation of immune responses.
