Target Information
Epinephrine (EPI), also known as adrenaline, is a hormone and neurotransmitter that is released in response to stress or danger. It plays a vital role in the "fight or flight" response, increasing heart rate, dilating airways, and mobilizing energy stores to prepare the body for action. In a cat model, high dose epinephrine does not improve the quality of post-cardiac arrest brain recovery during the first 3 h of reperfusion.
