Target Information

Growth hormone-releasing hormone (GHRH), also known as somatocrinin, is a hormone produced in the hypothalamus. Its main role is to stimulate the pituitary gland to produce and release growth hormone (GH) into the bloodstream. Growth hormone releasing hormone is encoded by the GHRH gene in goats. In a previous research, the carbi and L-dopa treatments completely suppressed GH-releasing responses to GHRH in both male and female goats.
