Target Information
Bovine Vimentin is encoded by the VIM gene in cattle. Vimentin belongs to the class of intermediate filaments (IFs). IFs, along with microtubules and microfilaments, form the cytoskeleton of animal cells. Vimentin is expressed in mesenchymal cells and plays a crucial role in providing structural support and maintaining cell shape. Research has shown that the distribution of vimentin containing intermediate filaments is associated with various aspects of granulosa cell activity, as mitosis, atresia, and intercellular transport.
