Target Information
Bovine enolase 1 (ENO1) is a key enzyme in the glycolytic pathway, catalyzing the conversion of 2-phospho-D-glycerate to phosphoenolpyruvate. It plays multifunctional roles beyond glycolysis, including promoting plasminogen activation, myogenesis, muscle regeneration, and regulating cell apoptosis. ENO1 is also implicated in tumor development and progression, making it a significant protein in cattle for metabolism, muscle function, and potentially, disease diagnosis and prognosis.
