Rat Hepatic Oval Primary Cells
Product Overview
Rat hepatic oval primary cells are isolated and cultured from the liver tissue in rats. Rat hepatic oval cells (HOC) are a special subpopulation of hepatocytes that appear mainly when the liver is damaged or when hepatocyte proliferation is inhibited. These cells have a high proliferation capacity and are considered to have bipotentiality, that is, they can differentiate into hepatocytes or bile duct epithelial cells.
