Rat Brain Microvascular Endothelial Primary Cells-Immortalized by SV40T Antigens and hTERT-are isolated from rat brain tissue and exhibit an extended lifespan compared to normal primary cells. Primary cells are immortalized by overexpressing the large T-antigen of the simian virus 40 (SV40 T-antigen) and human telomerase reverse transcriptase (hTERT). Rat Brain Microvascular Endothelial Primary Cells-Immortalized by SV40T Antigens and hTERT cell products are utilized in various standard biochemical procedures to characterize cell products and derivatives, as well as to investigate cell-cell interactions.
