Rat ninein (NIN) is a centrosome-associated protein with a conserved multi-domain structure and stable folding. It localizes mainly to the centrosome and microtubule-organizing centers in most cell types. The protein forms a compact conformation to support structural assembly and subcellular anchoring. Its characteristic centrosomal localization and domain organization clearly distinguish it from other cytoskeletal and centrosomal regulatory proteins.
