Target Information

Mouse MCP1, also known as CCL2, is a small cytokine belonging to the CC chemokine family. It is produced by monocytes, macrophages, and endothelial cells in response to inflammatory stimuli. MCP1 plays a critical role in immune responses by recruiting monocytes, memory T cells, and dendritic cells to sites of inflammation. It binds to the chemokine receptor CCR2, promoting cell migration and activation. MCP1 is involved in various inflammatory diseases, including atherosclerosis and arthritis, and has been implicated in cancer progression by facilitating tumor-associated macrophage infiltration.
