It is mainly distributed in the cytoplasm of adipocytes and steroidogenic cells, with tissue‑specific expression in metabolic tissues. The protein maintains good molecular stability and structural integrity under physiological conditions. Its cytoplasmic localization clearly distinguishes it from nuclear, mitochondrial, and membrane‑bound proteins.
