Rabbit Anti-Mouse Interferon Regulatory Factor 2 (IRF2) Polyclonal Antibody
Product Overview
BioVenic rabbit polyclonal antibody is specific for mouse interferon regulatory factor 2. It is purified by protein A/G. It can be applied to WB, IHC, ICC and IP assays of mouse interferon regulatory factor 2.
Specifications
Target Information
Mouse interferon regulatory factor 2 (IRF-2) is a 349-residue transcriptional regulator of the IRF family, harboring an N-terminal DNA-binding domain that recognizes the consensus GAAA sequence and a C-terminal repressor domain rich in proline and acidic residues. The protein forms homodimers via a hydrophobic interface within the DNA-binding pocket and can heterodimerize with IRF-1, modulating promoter occupancy. Constitutively expressed in lymphoid organs, skin and developing nervous tissue, IRF-2 localizes to nucleus and cytoplasm in a phosphorylation-dependent manner. Antibodies raised against full-length or peptide epitopes detect native and post-translationally modified isoforms with negligible cross-reactivity to IRF-1, IRF-3 or other IRF members, enabling precise immunoblot and immunofluorescence analysis in mouse tissue homogenates and cultured cells.
