Specifications
Target Information
Mouse inhibitory subunit of NF kappa B delta (IκBδ) is a nuclear factor regulatory protein encoded by the Nfkbid gene in Mus musculus, mapped to chromosome 19. It belongs to the IκB protein family, featuring conserved ankyrin repeat domains and a C-terminal PEST sequence responsible for protein stability. It localizes primarily to cytoplasm, with tissue-specific expression in mouse lymphoid organs, spleen, thymus and peripheral leukocytes, with low expression in non-immune tissues. The protein binds to NF-κB dimers to inhibit nuclear translocation and suppress NF-κB-mediated signal transduction. Mouse IκBδ shares conserved functional motifs with mammalian orthologs, and has distinct structural features and expression patterns that differentiate it from IκBα, IκBβ and other family isoforms.
