Target Information
Mouse BMX non receptor tyrosine kinase is an intracellular kinase encoded by the Bmx gene in Mus musculus, mapped to chromosome 3. It belongs to the Tec family of non-receptor tyrosine kinases, featuring a conserved N-terminal pleckstrin homology domain, Tec homology region, Src-homology 3 and 2 domains, and a C-terminal catalytic kinase domain. It localizes to cytoplasm and cell membrane, with tissue-specific expression in mouse myeloid cells, endothelial cells and platelets, with minimal levels in epithelial tissues. The protein mediates intracellular signal transduction, with conserved motifs for activation and substrate phosphorylation. Mouse BMX shares core functional domains with mammalian orthologs, and has distinct tissue distribution differentiating it from Tec, Btk and other family members.
