Mouse Fibrosarcoma Cell Line-MCA205

Cat. No.CC7F83

Product TypeAnimal Cells and Cell Lines

Product Overview

Mouse Fibrosarcoma Cell Line-MCA205 originated from a 3-methylcholanthrene-induced fibrosarcoma in C57BL/6 mice. The tumor was maintained in vivo through serial subcutaneous transplantation in syngeneic mice, and single-cell suspensions were prepared from solid tumors via enzymatic digestion. The MCA-205 cell line was established from these cells and maintained in vitro. MCA-205 is a weakly immunogenic fibrosarcoma-derived cell line. These cells are widely used as a stimulus to induce cytokine expression and have been employed in numerous studies to induce tumor-reactive T lymphocytes, a critical aspect of adoptive immunotherapy. The MCA-205 mouse fibrosarcoma cell line is an excellent model for studying immune responses to tumor cells and supporting the development of targeted cancer immunotherapies.
