Target Information
Vitamin K1 is an 450-Da phytyl-menaquinone whose naphthoquinone-phytol tail forms a stable hapten; a solvent-exposed 5-aa "KVE" motif (2-methyl-1,4-naphthoquinone) linked to carrier presents a fixation-stable epitope unique among fat-soluble vitamins. Antibodies to this conjugate detect phylloquinone in hepatic cytosol, chloroplast extracts and serum, yielding crisp membrane staining and single-band blots without cross-reaction to vitamin K2 or menadione.
Shipping and Storage
This product is shipped with wet ice packs. Store at -20°C on receipt (up to 12 months). Avoid repeated freezing and thawing as this may denature the antibody.
