Target Information

Mouse TBCA is a cytoplasmic chaperone protein with conserved tubulin-binding domains that sustain stable protein conformation under physiological conditions. It is ubiquitously present in all dividing somatic cell populations and participates in intracellular tubulin heterodimer assembly complexes. Its multi-domain cytoskeleton regulatory structure and universal tissue distribution differentiate it from secreted signaling cytokines, transmembrane cell surface receptors and chromatin-interacting nuclear transcription factors with simplified single-domain assemblies restricted to specialized differentiated cell subgroups.
