Target Information
Mouse cluster of differentiation 99 (CD99) is a type I transmembrane protein with a single extracellular domain and a short cytoplasmic tail. It shows broad expression in hematopoietic and endothelial cells and localizes primarily to the cell surface membrane. The protein adopts a compact structural fold with conserved sequence features across cell types. Its ubiquitous cell-surface distribution and simple transmembrane architecture clearly distinguish it from other leukocyte surface markers and adhesion-related molecules.
