Target Information

Rat BST1 is a type II transmembrane glycoprotein with conserved extracellular catalytic domains and a short cytoplasmic tail. It maintains stable monomeric folding and complete substrate-interacting motifs under physiological conditions, prominently displayed on the outer membrane of stromal and immune cell populations. Its surface-tethered topology and unique enzymatic domain assembly differentiate it from soluble cytoplasmic enzymes, secreted circulating signaling peptides and intranuclear regulatory proteins with simpler structural frameworks and separate subcellular distribution patterns.
