Non-aureus staphylococci (NAS) , typically regarded as minor mastitis pathogens, comprise a large and diverse group with varying impacts on bovine udder health. Staphylococcus hominis, part of the NAS group, is included in the microbiota of both humans and animals. It has been isolated from various bovine-associated environments.
