Target Information
Bovine Vitamin K-Dependent Protein C is encoded by the PROC gene in cattle. It is structurally similar to other vitamin K-dependent proteins involved in blood clotting, such as prothrombin, Factor VII, Factor IX, and Factor X. It was first isolated from bovine plasma. Bovine protein C is composed of a light chain and a heavy chain held together by disulfide bonds.
