Target Information
The Singapore grouper iridovirus (SGIV), a newly discovered Ranavirus, was isolated from diseased grouper in Singapore. Infections caused by vertebrate iridovirids, including SGIV, are linked to significant morbidity and mortality across a broad spectrum of wild and farmed fish and amphibian species. These infections lead to substantial economic losses and ecological damage.
