Target Information

Enterococcus durans is a species within the Enterococcus genus, characterized as a gram-positive, catalase-negative, and oxidase-negative coccus bacterium. It is also a facultative anaerobe. Some strains of E. durans have been identified as producers of anti-inflammatory agents, which are currently under investigation in medical research. This coccus, residing in the alimentary tract, has been implicated in causing enteritis in foals, piglets, calves, and puppies.
