Target Information
Uromodulin, also known as Tamm-Horsfall protein, is the most abundant protein found in normal urine. It plays a critical role in maintaining kidney health and is a valuable marker for assessing some kidney functions. It is produced in the distal convoluted tubules of the kidney. Uromodulin is encoded by the UMOD gene in dogs.
