Pseudomonas oleovorans is a Gram-negative, methylotrophic bacterium known as a source of rubredoxin, which is part of the hydroxylation-epoxidation system. It was initially isolated from water-oil emulsions used as lubricants and cooling agents in metal cutting processes. Typically, Pseudomonas oleovorans is not a pathogenic organism and is associated with few diseases in humans and animals.
