Target Information

Bovine mastitis continues to be the most economically significant disease affecting dairy cows. Corynebacterium bovis, a lipid-requiring species of Corynebacterium, is commonly isolated from the milk of infected mammary glands in dairy cows and is linked to decreased milk production. Although Corynebacterium bovis is primarily a zoonotic pathogen, it is rarely pathogenic in humans.
