Brevibacillus laterosporus is a bacterium distinguished by its production of a unique canoe-shaped lamellar body attached to one side of the spore. It naturally inhabits water, soil, and insects. This bacterium has demonstrated biopesticidal potential against insects of various orders, including Coleoptera, Lepidoptera, Diptera, as well as against nematodes and mollusks.
