Mouse Embryonic Stem Cells-E14TG2a
Product Overview
Mouse Embryonic Stem Cells-E14TG2a are embryonic stem cells derived from the inner cell mass of a 129/Ola strain mouse embryo. These cells lack HGPRT (HPRT) and are resistant to 0.06 mM 6-thioguanine. When cultured on a feeder layer (embryonic fibroblasts or STO cells), the cells remain undifferentiated. In the absence of a feeder layer, the cells spontaneously differentiate and form embryoid bodies. When injected into blastocysts, the cells can contribute to the germline. Following conventional molecular gene modification techniques, they can be used to reconstitute mouse embryos.
