Target Information
Staphylococcus nepalensis is a commensal bacterium found in the oral microbiota of domestic cats, though its clinical significance remains unclear. This species was first isolated in 2003 from the respiratory tract of goats. The bacteria are nonmotile, oxidase-negative, catalase-positive, and Gram-positive cocci, measuring 1.1 to 1.6 μm in diameter, and are found singly, in pairs, or in irregular clusters.
