Mouse Pancreatic Alpha Cell Line is a pancreatic alpha cell line. It is cloned from an adenoma arising from a transgenic mouse expressing the SV40 large T antigen oncogene under the control of the rat glucagon prepro promoter. It is useful for studying many biological characteristics of pancreatic islets, including the biosynthesis of glucagon and sensitivity to cytokines.
