Mouse Mononuclear Macrophage Leukemia Cell Line-RAW 264.7

Product Overview

The RAW 264.7 mouse monocyte/macrophage leukemia cell line originated from a tumor induced by the Abelson murine leukemia virus. These cells are negative for sIg and Ia antigens and the Thy-1.2 surface antigen. This cell line does not secrete detectable viral particles and is negative in the XC plaque-forming assay. RAW 264.7 cells can pinocytose neutral red and phagocytose latex beads and zymosan. They are capable of antibody-dependent degradation of sheep red blood cells and tumor target cells. Treatment with LPS or PPD for two days can induce the degradation of red blood cells, but does not affect tumor target cells.
