Fish Gill Cell Line-RTgill-W1
Product Overview
Fish Gill Cell Line-RTgill-W1 is an epithelial-like cell line isolated from the gills of normal rainbow trout. They can be used for toxicology research and toxicity testing. RTgill-W1 was established from a 15-month-old primary culture of apparently normal rainbow trout gill fragments. This cell line supports the replication of Infectious Salmon Anemia (ISA) virus, although no CPE (cytopathic effect) was observed. RTgill-W1 is a modest producer of eicosanoids, as only low levels of thromboxane B2 and prostaglandin E2 were detected, with no lipoxygenase products observed.
