Product Overview

Mouse Adrenocortical Tumor Cell Line-Y1 is an epithelial-like cell line isolated from the adrenal glands of a male mouse. Testing confirmed the mice were negative for murine ectromelia virus (mousepox). This cell line is a steroid hormone-secreting adrenocortical cell line, producing murine steroids. It can also be used for the detection of LT toxin. Y1 mouse adrenocortical tumor cells (Y1 cells) have been widely used in in vitro studies of adrenocortical function.
