Target Information

The ferrioxamine receptor (foxA), found on the Yersinia enterocolitica chromosome, along with its transport protein, facilitates the transport of a siderophore specific for ferric ions. The foxA gene, which encodes the ferrioxamine receptor, is conserved in pathogenic strains.
