Terrisporobacter is a genus of Gram-positive, spore-forming bacteria belonging to the family Peptostreptococcaceae. Initially classified under the genus Clostridium, phylogenetic studies later recognized it as a distinct genus. Terrisporobacter glycolicus, first identified in 1963, is an emerging anaerobic pathogen and a rare cause of infection. This bacterium is Gram-positive, rod-shaped, and an obligate anaerobe.
