Target Information

Pregnancy-associated glycoprotein 2 is encoded by the PAG6 gene in pigs. It is a member of the pregnancy-associated glycoproteins, which are abundant secretory products of the placental trophectoderm of ungulate species. PAG-2 is produced specifically in the invasive binucleate cells of the placenta. It is believed to play a role in immune regulation during pregnancy. Dysregulated PAG-2 levels can act as markers for various diseases.
