Target Information

Colipase, abbreviated as CLPS, is a protein co-enzyme essential for optimal enzyme activity of pancreatic lipase. Colipase, Pancreatic is encoded by the porcine CLPS gene.Colipase is initially secreted by the pancreas in an inactive form called procolipase. In the intestinal lumen, trypsin activates procolipase, converting it into active colipase. The presence of bile salts and colipase is necessary for the lipolytic activity of pancreatic lipase in vitro.
