Target Information

Streptococcus oralis is a Gram-positive viridans streptococcus belonging to the Streptococcus mitis group. As one of the pioneer species linked with eubiotic dental pellicle biofilms, S. oralis is commonly found in large numbers on various oral surfaces. It has also been frequently isolated from samples taken from great apes.
