Target Information

Streptococcus gallolyticus, previously known as S. bovis biotype I, is a member of the rumen biota and can also cause disease in ruminants and birds. It typically resides in the rumen at moderate cell concentrations. Additionally, this bacterium is considered part of the porcine enteric microbiome.
