Staphylococcus simulans, a coagulase-negative staphylococcus (CoNS), is infrequently found colonizing human skin. It acts as an opportunistic pathogen in animals, such as cows, goats, horses, and other farm or domesticated animals, and is commonly associated with bovine mastitis.
