Staphylococcus haemolyticus is a type of coagulase-negative staphylococci (CoNS). It is part of the human skin flora, with its largest populations typically located in the axillae, perineum, and inguinal regions. S. haemolyticus also colonizes primates and domestic animals. This species exhibits a zoonotic nature and is commonly found in both humans and animals.
