Target Information

Rickettsia raoultii, part of the spotted fever group, is a tick-borne pathogen carried by Dermacentor ticks. This species is known to cause human tickborne lymphadenitis in various European countries and appears to be endemic in ticks that infest dogs. Outer membrane protein A is encoded by the ompA gene in this pathogen.
