Target Information
Swine tyrosinase is a copper-containing enzyme that catalyzes the hydroxylation of monophenols and the oxidation of o-diphenols, playing a pivotal role in melanin synthesis. It is involved in pigmentation, protection against UV radiation, and has implications in skin health. In swine, Tyrosinase contributes to coat coloration and may have roles in immune response and antioxidant defense mechanisms.
