Target Information
Swine alpha-fetoprotein (AFP) is a fetal serum glycoprotein primarily synthesized in the fetal liver and yolk sac, known for its high levels during pregnancy. It plays a significant role in the development of hepatocellular carcinoma (HCC), promoting cell proliferation, invasion, and metastasis while inhibiting apoptosis. AFP also has immunosuppressive functions, influencing immune cell activities and promoting immune escape of cancer cells.
