Target Information
Rabbit Peroxisome Proliferator-activated Receptor Gamma (PPARG) is a ligand-dependent transcription factor and a member of the nuclear receptor superfamily. It plays a crucial role in regulating adipogenesis, lipid metabolism, and glucose homeostasis. PPARG is highly expressed in adipose tissue and immune cells, where it acts as a master regulator of adipocyte differentiation and insulin sensitivity. In rabbits, PPARG has been implicated in various metabolic processes and has potential therapeutic applications in treating conditions such as diabetes and obesity. Additionally, PPARG agonists have been shown to exert anti-inflammatory effects and promote neuroprotection in the central nervous system, making it a target for research in neurodegenerative diseases.
