Target Information
Rabbit Interleukin-1 Beta (IL1B) is a potent proinflammatory cytokine primarily produced by monocytes, macrophages, and dendritic cells. It plays a critical role in initiating and regulating inflammatory responses and immune reactions. IL1B is synthesized as an inactive precursor (pro-IL-1β) and is activated by caspase-1, which cleaves it into its active form. In rabbits, IL1B is involved in various inflammatory conditions and has been implicated in the pathogenesis of diseases such as arthritis and other inflammatory disorders. It also contributes to processes like cell proliferation, differentiation, and apoptosis. Additionally, IL1B has been shown to induce the production of other inflammatory cytokines, such as TNF-α, highlighting its central role in the inflammatory cascade.
