Target Information
Rabbit Hepatocyte Growth Factor (HGF) is a multifunctional cytokine that promotes cell proliferation, migration, and differentiation. It plays a crucial role in tissue repair and regeneration, particularly in the liver. HGF binds to the c-Met receptor, activating signaling pathways such as MAPK, PI3K-Akt, and STAT, which mediate cell growth, survival, and motility. In rabbits, HGF has been shown to inhibit neointima formation following vascular injury, promoting rapid re-endothelialization and reducing inflammation. Additionally, HGF is involved in wound healing and has been used to enhance the proliferation of keratinocytes in skin repair models. These properties make HGF a valuable target for research in tissue engineering and regenerative medicine.
